Job Summary:
Cardiovascular Interventional Lab (CVIL) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in the area. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced interventional cardiology environment, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures related to coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and other complex cardiac conditions. The RN will be responsible for assisting during procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment and documentation standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: M-F; Four 10-hour shifts alternating 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Required Qualifications: RN License; minimum of 2 years RN Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience; Cath and/or Electrophysiology (EP) lab experience; moderate sedation experience; BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC CUPID; Critical Care Certification; trauma course.
- On Call: Weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call rotations, with a minimum of 7-10 days every 6 weeks; on-call response time of 30 minutes. Frequency of on-call duties will be reviewed during the interview.
- Additional Information: The CVIL operates eleven procedure rooms for diagnostic and interventional procedures, including treatment of coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, pericardial disease, peripheral artery disease, adult congenital heart disease, and aortic disease. Experience working within Johns Hopkins facilities or health system must be disclosed on the coversheet and work history for verification purposes. Orientation begins on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.
