• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, through January 31, 2027
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift; approximately 40 hours per week
• Shift: Day shift, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Call Requirement: Two nights per week and at least three weekends during each eight-week period
• Weekend Requirement: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday call rotation
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday call or work as needed
• Work Setting: On-site cardiac procedural unit

Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Mississippi
• At least 1 year of cardiac nursing or Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
• Experience with moderate sedation and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience circulating cardiac procedures
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with Epic electronic health records
• Scrub experience preferred but not required
• Ability to meet applicable travel nursing eligibility requirements, including the 50-mile radius rule

Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Prepare patients, verify clinical information, and ensure procedural readiness.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, sedation levels, and hemodynamic status throughout procedures.
• Safely administer and monitor moderate sedation in accordance with established protocols.
• Circulate cardiac procedures, maintain aseptic technique, and support the cardiac procedural team.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to complications or emergencies.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses in Epic.
• Participate in scheduled night, weekend, and holiday call coverage.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote quality outcomes and exceptional patient care.
