Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) will be an integral part of the cardiac care team, working in a fast-paced environment focused on adult and geriatric patient populations. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including scrubbing for interventional procedures and collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and administration of interventional procedures.
Provide quality patient care and monitoring before, during, and after procedures.
Support physicians during catheterization procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation utilizing electronic systems.
Participate in emergency response procedures as needed.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a 4x10-hour rotating schedule from 06:30 to 17:00, Monday through Friday. The nurse will also be required to participate in weekend shifts, including on-call duties on Fridays through Mondays.

Contract Details

The duration of the contract is 11 weeks, with an expected end date no later than January 30, 2027.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab or similar interventional setting required.
Recent scrubbing experience in interventional procedures is essential.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of practice is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Experience with equipment and documentation systems such as GE Innova IGS, Phillips, GE MacLab, EPIC, IVUS, and FFR is preferred.

Structural heart procedures
PFO closure
TAVR
MitraClip
Watchman device implantations

Additional Information

Flexible scheduling options are limited, and designated scheduling requests should accompany the request for time off (RTO) at the time of application.
