Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Unit Details

The unit consists of 3 Cath Labs and 2 EP Labs, providing specialized care in the cardiac and electrophysiology fields. The facility has a strong orientation toward collaboration and high standards of patient care.

Job Requirements

• Participation in on-call requirements is mandatory, which includes 1 weekend per month and 1-2 weekdays per week.
• Travel within the facility is expected, as well as potential support at nearby facilities as needed.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
• Candidates will undergo a clinical review to ensure fit within unit guidelines before being presented to management for final decisions.

Time Off

• Requests for time off (RTO) must not exceed 7 days.
• Major holiday working expectations are as follows:
  • Travelers are expected to work 1 major holiday if it falls within their assignment period.
  • If 2 major holidays fall within the period, both must be worked.
  • If 3 major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work 2.
• Major holidays include:
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving/Black Friday
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
  • New Years Eve/New Years Day

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance with all documentation and requirements is necessary to ensure timely onboarding. Non-compliance may result in a delayed start of up to 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. The number of non-billable orientation hours varies based on contract length, with 8 hours for an 8-week assignment and 10 hours for a 10-week assignment.

Work Schedule

The position involves day shifts of 5x8 hours, typically from 07:30 to 16:00.
