Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized cardiovascular care within the diagnostic and interventional percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) environment. The RN will perform various procedural duties, including conscious sedation, sterile supplies handling, vitals assessment, and documentation, with opportunities for cross-training in hemodynamics monitoring.
Job Details
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in the state of practice, two years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, experience with interventional procedures, Epic electronic documentation system proficiency, and at least one year of electrophysiology (EP) experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Level 1 trauma experience, high-volume/high-acuity Cath Lab experience.
- Float: Float within service line may be required.
- Additional Information: Position requires candidates with experience in high-volume/high-acuity Cardiac Cath Lab settings, including procedures such as angioplasty, ASD closures, cardiac implant device placement, TAVR, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. The role involves working in diagnostic and interventional PCI environments, providing conscious sedation, sterile procedure handling, vitals assessment, and documentation. The candidate may cross-train to operate hemodynamics in monitoring roles.
- Certification and compliance deadlines must be met prior to start date, including ACLS certification and completion of required modules through WorkRamp.
- License: Applicants must hold an active license in the state of practice or be eligible with a pending license.
- Travel requirements: No local candidates accepted within 75 miles radius; travel experience not required.
- Contract details: Confirm shift schedule at submission; contract length is fixed.
- RTO policy: Maximum of 7 days of requested time off. No RTO allowed during the first week.
