Job Summary:

The skilled Nurse practices independently within a clinical setting and maintains awareness of relevant aspects of each situation. The role involves the provision of both routine and complex care while focusing on long-range goals and plans. The Nurse effectively manages contingencies in clinical nursing and makes appropriate assignments, delegating tasks to other care providers to enhance the management of clinical situations.

Responsibilities:

• Adheres to the competencies required for leadership, ensuring personal development and guiding others effectively.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Adds to the holistic care of patients by addressing their complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Administers medications and treatments according to established protocols and monitors for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and responsibly.
• Assesses learning needs and offers education to patients, families, and caregivers, while identifying relevant issues and resources.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in the relevant nursing specialty is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

• BLS certification required (AHA only).
• RN License in the state of NM or compact.

Work Schedule:

4 days a week, 10 hours per day.
