Cath Lab RN / Cardiovascular Technologist – Chippenham Hospital | Richmond, VA

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
EMR: Meditech
Equipment: GE X-ray / Mac-Lab
Floating: None
Unit Details
- 3 Cath Labs
- Approximately 10–11 staff members during the day
- Team consists of RNs and cardiovascular technologists
- Staffing: 3 staff members per procedure room
- No scheduled night-shift staff
Required Experience
Candidates must have:
- Interventional cardiac cath lab experience
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced lab
- Ability to report to the hospital within 30 minutes for call-back
High-volume lab experience with complex cardiac cases is strongly preferred.
Procedures
- Diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
- Interventional cardiac catheterizations
- Complex PCI
- Impella
- Intra-aortic balloon pump
- Peripheral vascular cases
- Occasional cardiac device procedures
Call & Weekends
- Weekday call required
- Some weekend call required
- 30-minute call-back response time
Additional Details
- Hospital provides light blue scrubs
- Attendance is considered critical
- Facility is seeking candidates who are professional, easy-going, friendly, and comfortable working in a busy procedural environment
