Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Specialist Location Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized care in a high-volume cardiac catheterization laboratory, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures including heart caths, stent placements, and neuro interventions. The role requires confident, experienced professionals well-versed in cardiovascular, structural, electrophysiology, and neurological modalities.
Job Details
- Position Description: Unit Cath Lab, Interventional Neuro, and Electrophysiology (EP) suite support. Responsibilities include assisting with a variety of procedures such as L/R heart caths, stents, balloons, Impella, rotablator, R2P devices, EKOS, IVIS, peripheral interventions, coilings, clot retreivals, angios, and EP studies. No structural heart or TAVR cases.
- Certifications and Education: ARRT or RCIS certification for technologists; BLS and ACLS certifications for nurses and techs; willingness to submit licenses.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience required; first-time travelers considered with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with call responsibilities.
- Additional Details: Call participation is required for both nurses and technicians, approximately one weekend every five weeks and 1-2 weekdays per week, with a response time of 30 minutes. Holidays may involve on-call duties in rotation. Ceremony and change of scrub colors are permitted.
- Clinical Support: System includes Cerner and Change/McKesson. 24/7 RT, pharmacy, and STEMI receiving capabilities. Specific orientation provided for floor-specific protocols and procedures.
- Eligibility: Prior experience in cardiovascular, structural, electrophysiology, and neuro procedures preferred and necessary for success. The candidate should demonstrate confidence and proficiency immediately upon assignment.
