Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) registered nurse position is based in a busy hospital setting on the 3rd floor of a general hospital unit. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced environment. The position requires handling a variety of cardiac interventions and adhering to unit policies and protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with rotations including 1-2 weekends and 1-2 weeknights in a 6-week schedule.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse license, minimum of 1-year current hospital Cath Lab RN experience, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electrophysiology procedures, stemming procedures, and Meditech electronic medical records system.
  • Additional Information: The unit utilizes advanced equipment from Philips and GE, with procedures including LHC/PCI, TAVR, Watchman, EP ablations, renal denervation, and peripheral interventions. Candidates should be flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented. Staff are experienced with handling a high volume of complex cases and technology upgrades.
