Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Unit Information

Located in Richmond, VA, this department features:

• Number of Beds: 3 cardiac catheterization labs
• Daily Staffing: 10-11 staff members
• Staff Type: Mix of Registered Nurses (RNs) and cardiovascular technologists on the day shift

Patient Care

The typical patient ratio is 3 staff members per room, ensuring dedicated and attentive care.

Equipment and Technology

• Equipment: GE X-ray/MacLab
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Hiring Profile

We are seeking candidates with the following skill sets:

• Required Skills:
  • Experience in an interventional cardiac catheterization lab
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in a high-volume lab managing complex cases

Typical Procedures

The following procedures are commonly performed:

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
• Impella and balloon-pump procedures
• Peripheral cases
• Complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs)
• Occasional device placements
