Cardiac Cath/EP Lab Nurse

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled nurse to join our Cardiac Cath/EP Lab team. This unit comprises a 6-room area with 9 holding bays, focused on providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing various cardiac procedures.

Shift Details

  • Full-time shifts: 4-10 hours per week
  • Typical shift hours: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
  • On-call requirements: 1-2 nights per week and every 4-5 weekends, depending on departmental needs

North Philadelphia, PA

Unit Information

  • Holding Area Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:3
  • Intraprocedure Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Unit Size: 6 rooms with 9 pre/post bays
  • Case Volume: 10-25 cases per day, ranging from diagnostic procedures to complex PCI and structural heart interventions

Floating Requirements

The nurse may be required to float between multiple locations within the region based on operational needs. Flexibility is essential, including the possibility of same-day adjustments to assignments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred
  • Previous travel experience is required
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) recommended
