Essential Job Functions:
- Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Nursing Process for patients in the following age groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics.
- Documents thoroughly as care is delivered, following regulatory and hospital requirements.
- Participates in the responsible management of health care resources.
- Assumes responsibility for clinical competencies and professional development of self and others.
- Practices in a clinical environment through application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills
- Ability to work varied shifts and/or days including weekends and holidays
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to utilize good judgment, demonstrate patience, utilize best practices for patient care as expected by department leaders and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Must be able to work in a busy, stressful and work environment where practice changes to meet new patient safety requirements, goals or objectives.
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Electronic medical records software.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage workload expectations.
- Interpersonal verbal communication and advanced math skills.
- Creativity, problem analysis, team work and decision making.
