Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) to provide nursing care to adult patients in a behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting patients with mental health conditions, administering prescribed medications, monitoring patient safety, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor adult patients' mental, emotional, and behavioral status.
- Administer prescribed medications and evaluate patient responses.
- Provide therapeutic communication, emotional support, and patient education.
- Monitor patient safety and recognize changes in behavior or clinical condition.
- Apply appropriate de-escalation techniques when managing challenging behaviors.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to support individualized patient care.
- Follow facility policies, nursing standards, and patient safety protocols.
Shift Details
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Quick-start opportunity with a tentative start date of November 5, 2026.
Qualifications
- Active RN license appropriate for the facility's state.
- Adult psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication, assessment, documentation, and patient-safety skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a behavioral health environment.
Adult Psychiatric RN needed for a quick-start opportunity providing behavioral health nursing care on a 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
