Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Behavioral Health for a travel nursing job in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Job Summary (List Format):
- Provide direct care to patients with mental health conditions.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patient well-being.
- Offer therapeutic communication and crisis intervention as needed.
- Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe, supportive environment for patient recovery.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and hospital policies.
Submission Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Adult Behavioral Health experience (REQUIRED).
- BLS certification required prior to start.
- Must be 21 years of age or older (REQUIRED).
- Handle with Care Certification preferred.
- DHS fingerprinting required (instructions will be provided).
- No previous disciplinary action (REQUIRED).
Certification Requirements:
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
State License Requirements:
- Oklahoma (active at time of submission)

- Southwestern Medical Center: 199-bed facility serving Lawton-Ft. Sill area.

- On-call pay policy: $2/hour with 1-hour minimum.
- Local applicants (within 50 miles) offered at 11% less than the travel rate.
- Former direct employees must wait 6 months before returning via agency.
