Must-Have:
- One year of experience in antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Some computer skills
Description:
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
Note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients.
Observe the physiological manifestations of patients and intervene when necessary.
Administer medication as prescribed.
Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
Deliver patient care competently.
Interact with families and patients in sharing care plans during hospitalization and at discharge.
Inform patients and families of hospital procedures.
Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Delegate tasks to support staff.
