Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Alaska
Start Date: September 29, 2026
Location: Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 40 hours per week (guaranteed hours begin after orientation week)
Highlights:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across the lifespan from birth to elderly populations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality, cost-effective patient care
- Supervise unit secretaries and patient care technicians in collaboration with Charge Nurse
- Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes
- Opportunity to serve diverse patient populations with culturally sensitive care delivery
- Work with modern medical equipment including EKG and diagnostic technology
Requirements:
- Graduate of an NLN-approved nursing education program
- Active Alaska Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare setting preferred
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Basic EKG skills and ability to interpret diagnostic tests
- Ability to administer treatments and medications, and provide patient/family education
- Knowledge of medical terminology and nursing best practices
- Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations required
- Flexibility with work schedule and ability to work independently within established protocols
