Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience Patient ratio experience of 1:1 Experience in outpatient surgery procedures Description: The Registered Nurse will work in an outpatient surgery setting. This role involves Monday through Friday shifts with no call, weekends, or holidays. The nurse will be responsible for providing care in various surgical procedures including abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, and hernia repair. The candidate should have experience with techniques such as laparoscopic assisted cases and tracheostomy. Patients include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Experience with charting systems is preferred. The role requires compliance with all health and safety protocols. The candidate must successfully pass a mandatory drug screening. Previous permanent staff must have been away for at least one year to return in a traveler role. Modules for training will be completed during the orientation process.
