Job Breakdown – RN (Pre-Op / PACU)
Specialty: Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU)
Shift: Day 10-hour shift, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Contract: 12 weeks
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
- Previous Pre-Op experience with both pediatric and adult patients.
- EPIC experience.
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment.
Schedule Details
- Pre-Op: Staggered starts between 5:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
- Thursday Pre-Op: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM.
- Phase II: Staggered shifts of 8:00 AM–6:30 PM and 9:00 AM–7:30 PM on Thursdays.
- No weekends.
- No holidays.
- No floating.
- No on-call requirement.
Unit & Patient Details
- Patient population: Pediatrics through geriatrics.
- Prepares approximately 8–10 patients per shift.
- Fast-paced environment.
- Nurse may work in Pre-Op and PACU/Phase II.
