Description:
The Office Nurse supports primary care providers in the delivery of health care to patients.
This role involves performing a variety of activities and procedures.
The Office Nurse teaches and directs other clinical support staff in the performance of acts delegated to them.
The Office Nurse is involved in the observation and care of the ill, injured, or infirm.
The RN actively manages patient flow within the office.
The RN assists in patient education and is responsible for keeping clinical areas in appropriate condition for efficient delivery of health care services.

Responsibilities include preparing patient charts for the following day, understanding risk management and referral systems.
The Office Nurse prepares patients for examination as instructed.

The Office Nurse assists providers with all types of examinations.
Injections are administered as directed by the provider or Clinical Coordinator.
They may remove sutures, clean wounds, and apply dressings as directed.
The Office Nurse assists with all special procedures.
They are responsible for washing, drying, and preparing instruments for sterilization.
Maintaining cleanliness in examining and surgical rooms is essential.
The Office Nurse assists the provider in any way to relieve pressure on their time.
They also manage medically related phone calls.
The role involves performing various medically related tasks specific to the provider's specialization.
Non-clinical duties may also be requested.
The Office Nurse appropriately fills out all clinical forms as needed.
