Job Title: Pre-op Nurse

Hours per Shift: 4:45 AM - 3:15 PM
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required
License: Current RN License issued by the state board or a current multistate compact RN License
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association; ACLS (American Heart Association)
Must-Have:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Description:
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting all changes in physician orders on assigned patients.
Assists the physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes physiological manifestations, and intervenes when necessary.
Administers medication as prescribed.
Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
Delivers patient care competently.
Interacts with family and patients in sharing care plans while in the hospital and at the time of discharge.
Informs patients and families of hospital procedures.
Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Delegates tasks to support staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday.
Pre-op Nurse for surgical and interventional radiology patients.
EPIC experience and Level I Trauma preferred.
No weekends, no major holidays, no call requirements.
