Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Preferred previous charge experience Description: This position involves working in an outpatient urology clinic. The nurse will care for patients with various diagnoses including urinary incontinence, BPH, kidney stones, bladder cancer, urinary tract infections, and cystitis. Daily responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, patient teaching, medication refills, and lab result interpretation. Additional duties may involve scheduling appointments and following up with patients. Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred. The clinic features interdisciplinary support and handles procedures such as vasectomy, cystoscopy, urodynamic testing, and biopsies. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in a community hospital setting. The environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and organizational skills. The role may also include float responsibilities and patient triage. Experience with special equipment like ultrasound may be beneficial.
