Candidates are preferred to have experience in pre-op, phase 2 recovery, infusion, or preadmission testing. Knowledge of EMR Meditech is important, as it may take some time to learn for those unfamiliar. The unit includes 26 pre-op bays and 8 endo bays, with a total of 27 staff members working daytime shifts. Patient ratios are 1:1 in pre-op, 3-5:1 in phase 2, and 5:1 in the infusion area. The unit operates from 0500 to 2100, with a call requirement. Flexibility is needed to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
