Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, or cardiac acute care experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac drips
• Comfort working with chest tubes and cardiac patient populations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused acute care environment
• Associate degree in nursing required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac, telemetry, and stepdown patients
• Monitor patients closely using telemetry and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Manage common diagnoses such as chest pain, CHF, stroke/TIA, pacemakers, heart blocks, and vascular conditions
• Support patients pre- and post-open heart procedures, including VATS cases
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips and other ordered therapies
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, coordinated patient care
• Adapt to floating needs as required within the acute care setting
