• Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically 2x12s, every other weekend, holiday coverage required, no on-call

Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and Stroke Certification
• Ability to provide safe, efficient patient care in a high-volume acute care environment
• Strong assessment, triage, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Experience caring for patients of all ages in emergency or acute care settings

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
• Deliver direct nursing care for emergent and routine emergency situations
• Administer interventions, treatments, and procedures according to patient needs
• Monitor patient condition, evaluate response to treatment, and update care plans accordingly
• Prepare patients and families for diagnostic testing, treatment, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, compassionate care
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively throughout the patient visit
• Promote a healing environment while supporting patient comfort, safety, and education
