Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent CVICU experience preferred
• ACLS and BLS required
• CCRN preferred
• Associate degree in Nursing required; additional education is a plus
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric cardiac patients
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity, fast-paced acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to cardiac and intensive care patients
• Monitor and manage patients with complex diagnoses including CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures
• Care for patients using advanced equipment such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
• Float per scheduled rotation as needed to meet unit demands
• Provide responsive care in a unit with a 2:1 ratio and occasional 1:1 assignments
