Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care | Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in an acute care hospital.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
Required Documents / Certifications
- Active Iowa RN License (or Compact RN License if applicable)
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (travel experience preferred)
- Mandatory Reporter Certifications (Child & Adult)
- Iowa SING Background Check
- Current required titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
