Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infection Prevention Nurse for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in monitoring, preventing, and controlling infections while supporting patient safety initiatives and regulatory compliance throughout the healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs.
- Conduct surveillance and tracking of healthcare-associated infections.
- Analyze infection data and identify trends to support quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate staff on infection prevention policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient safety outcomes.
- Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility infection prevention regulations.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Infection Prevention or Infection Control experience preferred.
- CIC (Certification in Infection Control) preferred but not required.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of infection surveillance, prevention practices, and regulatory standards.
- Ability to educate and lead clinical staff initiatives.
