RN – Acute Care Unit – 12-Hour Shifts – Relocation Candidates Are Welcome
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Acute Care team at a hospital in Hot Springs, South Dakota. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a supportive hospital environment that values teamwork, clinical excellence, and professional development.
This role involves assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective nursing care in accordance with South Dakota nursing regulations and facility policies.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed.
- Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond promptly with appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR.
- Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.
- Follow infection control procedures and patient safety standards.
- Provide guidance and support to assigned staff members.
- Assist with orientation and training of new team members as needed.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
