Job Summary
This is an exciting 13-week travel assignment for a dedicated Registered Nurse in a prominent acute care facility located in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population within a dynamic hospital environment.
This role requires a compassionate and skilled professional capable of managing a varied caseload, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and upholding the highest standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous travel nursing experience.
