Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Vascular Access Registered Nurse to join a hospital-based team in Ithaca, New York. The role focuses on providing essential vascular access services across various hospital departments, ensuring optimal patient care through expert catheter placement.
The successful candidate will specialize in the placement of challenging peripheral intravenous catheters, midline catheters, and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC). This position offers direct support to all hospital departments during weekday operating hours, utilizing advanced techniques including ultrasound guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform placement of difficult peripheral intravenous catheters (PIV).
- Execute placement of midline catheters.
- Conduct placement of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC).
- Utilize ultrasound guidance for all vascular access procedures.
- Provide direct vascular access support to various hospital departments.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Demonstrated experience in ultrasound-guided peripheral intravenous (PIV) placement.
- Proven experience in midline catheter placement.
- Proven experience in peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement.
