Job Summary

Join our dedicated healthcare team in Cooperstown, New York, as a Registered Nurse on our Inpatient Obstetric Unit. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers, laboring patients, postpartum individuals, and newborns. You will play a crucial role in supporting families through the childbirth experience, from admission through discharge.

As an Obstetric RN, you will manage patient care during labor and delivery, monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assist with medical procedures, and provide essential postpartum and newborn care. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
  • Monitor and interpret fetal heart tracings and maternal vital signs.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
  • Perform newborn assessments, provide initial newborn care, and assist with breastfeeding support.
