Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Critical Care Float Pool – Upstate New York
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Upstate New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; Float pool position with flexibility across multiple units including ICU, IMCU, Emergency Department, and Medical-Surgical units
Highlights:
- Float pool role supporting a 42-bed critical care service with diverse patient populations including neuro, medical, surgical, trauma, and cardiovascular cases
- Exposure to specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and targeted temperature management
- Common diagnoses include strokes, sepsis, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI, cardiogenic shock, and major post-operative surgical cases
- Epic EMR system in use
- Local and travel candidates welcomed; travel experience required
- Navy blue scrubs provided
Requirements:
- Active New York RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Must be willing to float across multiple departments including ED, ICU, IMCU, and Medical-Surgical units with varying patient assignments
- NURSYS report and license verification for all active RN licenses required
