Job Summary
This is an exciting 13-week travel assignment for a dedicated Registered Nurse in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care within a dynamic hospital environment. This role involves assessing patient conditions, implementing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, utilizing critical thinking and clinical expertise. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to interventions.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Respond to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in patient assessment and critical thinking.
- Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to operate standard medical equipment (e.g., vital sign monitors, IV pumps).
