Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Rochester, New York. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate patient care within an acute care setting, contributing significantly to patient outcomes and overall well-being.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions thoroughly and in a timely manner within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Respond promptly and effectively to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Proficiency in clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient care management.
