Job Summary
This is a contract opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join an acute care team in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive direct patient care within a dynamic hospital environment, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across various acute care settings, utilizing critical thinking and clinical expertise to manage diverse patient needs. Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
- Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
