Registered Nurse
Job Summary
This role is for a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care hospital setting located in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for a diverse adult population.
You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold the highest standards of nursing practice. This position requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
- Perform nursing interventions, including wound care, IV insertion, and vital sign monitoring.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as a Registered Nurse.

Licensing Requirements
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
