Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Rochester, New York. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care within an acute care setting, contributing to a collaborative healthcare team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards and hospital policies. This position requires a commitment to patient safety and excellent clinical judgment in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
