Job Summary
This is an exciting 13-week travel assignment opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse in Penn Yan, New York. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and health history.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
- Perform various nursing procedures, including wound care, IV insertion, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic data, reporting changes to the medical team.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
