Job Summary

This is an exciting 13-week travel assignment opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse in Penn Yan, New York. The role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care within a dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and health history.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
  • Perform various nursing procedures, including wound care, IV insertion, catheterization, and specimen collection.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic data, reporting changes to the medical team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
