Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in a prominent acute care facility located in Rochester, New York. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment, serving a diverse patient population.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. This includes managing patient caseloads, administering medications, performing treatments, and ensuring accurate documentation of all patient interactions and outcomes.
This is a 13-week contract position, ideal for an RN looking to expand their experience and contribute to patient well-being in a supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs, interpret data, and report changes in patient condition to the appropriate medical staff.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care management.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR) of all patient care activities.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
