Operating Room Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgery
Job Summary
This is a travel assignment for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse at a busy outpatient surgery center located at 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30342. The facility specializes in a diverse range of surgical procedures, catering to both adult and pediatric patients across specialties including ENT, Facial Plastics, and General Surgery.
The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care throughout the perioperative phase, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Candidates for this travel assignment are required to reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in an outpatient setting.
- Prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, performing duties such as circulating or scrubbing as required.
- Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout surgery, intervening as necessary.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere strictly to infection control protocols.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or compact state license with GA endorsement).
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent, dedicated experience as an Operating Room RN.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility for this travel assignment.

Shift Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM (0645-1515).
- Shift Type: AM, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week.
- Contract Length: 13 weeks.
