Registered Nurse - Infusion
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Infusion Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is based within a clinical care setting, focusing on the administration of various infusion therapies to a diverse patient population.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care, including patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring for adverse reactions, and patient education. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Infusion RN to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team in a non-oncology focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products as prescribed.
- Assess patient health status, including vital signs and infusion site, before, during, and after treatments.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and intervene appropriately.
- Maintain and troubleshoot IV access, including peripheral and central lines.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care.
- Accurately document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control standards, and facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as an Infusion Registered Nurse.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work two (2) major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one (1) minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve) as required.
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Georgia.
