Registered Nurse - Oncology Infusion

Job Summary

This is a travel assignment for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology Infusion. The role is based at a busy outpatient oncology practice within the Atlanta Cancer Center Alpharetta Infusion facility in Alpharetta, GA.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients with oncologic and hematologic diagnoses, supporting a dynamic environment that includes exam visits, nurse triage, and direct patient treatment.

Key responsibilities involve the administration of complex therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and biotherapies, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapy treatments to patients with oncologic and hematologic diagnoses.
  • Provide direct patient care and support during exam visits.
  • Conduct nurse triage visits, assessing patient needs and coordinating care.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage side effects related to treatment.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication administration, and symptom management.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience within an oncology or infusion specialty.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Demonstrated experience with oncology chemotherapy administration.
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Alpharetta, GA (travel assignment).
