Job Summary
This is an exciting 13-week travel contract opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse in Rochester, New York. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care within an acute care setting, contributing to positive patient outcomes and a collaborative healthcare environment.
This role involves working night shifts, utilizing clinical expertise to manage patient care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional patient care while adapting to a new environment and team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards and facility policies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
- Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
