Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) - WOCN
Job Summary
This is a travel opportunity for an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) with specialized expertise in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) care.
The role involves providing expert consultation and direct patient care within a dedicated WOC team in Atlanta, Georgia. The successful candidate will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate specialized care for patients presenting with complex wound, ostomy, and continence needs, offering recommendations and education to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation and direct patient care for individuals with wound, ostomy, and continence needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of wounds, ostomies, and continence issues.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on wound care, ostomy management, and continence strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience within the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) specialty.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) certification.
- Ability to travel for this assignment; candidates residing within 50 miles of Atlanta, Georgia will not be considered.

Licensing Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or a compact state license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) certification.
