Travel Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Job Summary

Join a dedicated team as a Travel Registered Nurse in a dynamic Intensive Care Unit located in Atlanta, Georgia. This role focuses on providing high-acuity care to a diverse patient population within a General Medical Surgical ICU setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing critically ill patients, utilizing advanced clinical skills and critical thinking to ensure optimal patient outcomes and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a General Medical Surgical ICU.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment, including ventilators, IV pumps, and cardiac monitors.
  • Respond effectively to emergent situations and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Skills & Competencies
  • Proficiency with Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
