Registered Nurse - Acute GI Medicine Unit
Job Summary
This is a travel Registered Nurse opportunity for an Acute GI Medicine Unit in Atlanta, Georgia. The successful candidate will provide specialized nursing care to patients within a dynamic healthcare environment, focusing on gastrointestinal health.
As an RN on the Acute GI Medicine Unit, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with a variety of acute GI conditions. This role involves managing complex patient cases, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in an Acute GI Medicine Unit or similar specialty.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or a compact state license.
- Ability to travel and reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility for the duration of the assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Skills & Competencies
Shift Details
- Shift Type: 12-hour Night (NOC) shifts.
- Days per Week: 3 days per week; schedule may vary.
- Contract Length: 13 weeks.
- Assignment Dates: October 5, 2026, to January 2, 2027.
- Holiday Expectations: Must work two (2) major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one (1) minor holiday (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve) during the assignment.

Licensing Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
