Job Summary
This is a 13-week travel assignment for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) in Penn Yan, New York. The role involves providing comprehensive, compassionate direct patient care within an acute care setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and health history.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, laboratory results, and diagnostic tests, reporting significant findings to the medical team.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
