Acute Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Medical/Surgical
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for an acute care setting in Havre, Montana. This role involves providing essential patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit, working within a structured environment where established policies and procedures guide healthcare provision.
The successful candidate will contribute to a multidisciplinary team, delivering age-appropriate nursing care under the direct supervision of professional nursing staff. This is an excellent opportunity to support patient recovery and well-being in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other patient data, reporting any significant changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies.
- Respond to patient call lights promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a CNA in an acute care or hospital setting, preferably Medical/Surgical.
