Job Summary:
The Nuclear Radiology Specialist performs high-quality routine and specialized nuclear radiology procedures as requested by licensed independent practitioners for interpretation by radiologists. This role integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and compassionate care to produce diagnostic information. The specialist must demonstrate a detailed understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Responsibilities include maintaining accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques, ensuring radiation safety, and preparing, administering, and documenting activities related to medications in compliance with state regulations and institutional policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma and graduation from a formal diagnostic radiology program.
  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (Texas Medical Board).
  • CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (NMTCB) or N-ARRT - ARRT Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Minimum of 3 years of radiology experience (any/all modalities).
  • Basic life support certification and understanding of medical terminology.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pediatric experience.

  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Skills required: IVs, quality control.
  • All nuclear medicine-certified candidates are welcome.
