Job Summary:
This position is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a healthcare facility located in Omaha, Nebraska. The role involves working day shifts, providing essential nuclear medicine services with a focus on patient care and safety. The technologist will be responsible for operating advanced PET/CT imaging equipment, adhering to established protocols, and maintaining compliance with certification and safety standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB, BLS Certification, Driver's license; minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: DOT Certification (preferred at original contract, required at extension within 90 days).
- Additional Information: PET experience required; radiation badge provided by the client. Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas. Fingernail policy adhered to strictly. Siemens PET/CT Biograph Vision and Siemens E.CAMs equipment available; training provided if necessary.
- Operational Details: The facility is a Level 1 Trauma setting in an acute care division. The unit operates on a 5x8 shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The radius rule for candidates is 50 miles, and candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization or related entities. Driver's licenses will be used to verify distance. The facility can cancel up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter durations. Charting is done via EPIC electronic medical record system.
